Jennie - 3198 Seaford BeachPatrol Volunteer of the Year

Ross |

Meet Jennie, an art therapist, lifelong resident of Seaford, and this month's spotlight in our BeachPatrol newsletter. Deeply passionate about Seaford's natural beauty, Jennie has been actively safeguarding our beaches with 3198 Seaford BeachPatrol since its inception. Her drive stems from witnessing the impact of litter on wildlife and the desire to educate people about waste and recycling. During her tenure, Jennie has unearthed a trove of items during clean-ups - from an old boat's porthole to a car's fan belt. But, it's the commonly found small plastics that worry her the most, especially their potential to harm our precious wildlife. Jennie's personal advice to reduce consumption and waste is simple yet powerful: be mindful of what you buy.  But her service goes beyond the sands of Seaford beach. A key organiser in the "Love Where You Live Seaford" initiative, she also collected thousands of plastic bottle lids for recycling and has represented 3198 Seaford BeachPatrol at media events. So here's to Jennie, a steadfast volunteer, an exceptional community role model, and a beloved part of our Seaford BeachPatrol family. Thank you, Jennie, for your devotion to keeping Seaford beautiful.
