Our corporate volunteering program

Activate, connect & engage

Our corporate volunteering program supports organisations in achieving their corporate social responsibility & sustainability goals. Activating colleagues in pursuit of a common goal is a great way to connect and build strong teams. Not to mention the positive impact on the environment!

"Thank you so much for a great and eye opening day! In my personal life I am so much more conscious of my behaviour and in our professional life we are motivated to make a difference!"

We can host education sessions about plastic litter and its impact to our environment and marine life.

We can also take staff out on a beach or street litter surveying experience. During these exercises your employees work in small groups along the beach or street to record the litter using our survey sheets. At the end of the survey the sheets are collated and the teams spend time categorising and documenting the litter picked up in that session. This provides a great engagement opportunity and raises awareness around how to reduce common problem waste items.

Our brochure contains further information including cost structure.

Endorsement from a Large Company.    Thank you again for hosting our team at Port Melbourne New Beach for the corporate clean-up activity. We truly appreciated the opportunity to be part of such a meaningful initiative. It was not only a rewarding experience but also an eye-opening one. Through the activity—especially when we focused on collecting bottle caps, food wrappers, and other plastic waste—we saw firsthand how our everyday consumption is impacting the environment more than we often realise.

While we were already aware that plastics are harmful to the ocean, the hands-on experience really brought that message to life. It has certainly sparked deeper awareness within our team and encouraged us to think more consciously about our habits.

We also want to sincerely thank you and the BeachPatrol team for your dedication and the incredible work you do to keep our beaches clean and protected. Your passion and commitment made the session both educational and inspiring for all of us ๐Ÿ˜Š

19 Mar 2026 Transurban 9

New Beach in Port Melbourne was fortunate to have a group from Transurban (their 3rd time) spend an hour removing litter from the beach this morning.  An eager team of 9 conducted a full audit during hte clean as well.  The top 'offenders' included 236 soft plastic fragments & 168 hard plastic fragments, as well as 47 microplastics and 36 nurdles.  What looked like a clean beach was even cleaner due to their efforts. Many thanks!!

05 Mar 2026 Gorilla Glue 7

A perfect morning for a beach clean in Mornington with seven terrific Corporate Volunteers from Gorilla Glue. The team recorded over 460 plastic items including over 200 cigarette butts (right near a seabird roosting site), 52 pieces of polystyrene, nearly 200 hard and soft plastic fragments, 37 food wrappers and 19 building waste items. The plastic fragments prove the point that plastic breaks up, into ever-smaller pieces and microplastics; it doesn't break down.

Also collected were hair ties, socks and other clothing,  a shoe and a vape, as well as non-plastic rubbish.

The seal on the boat ramp and other local wildlife will be safer now. Thank you Gorilla Glue. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿง๐ŸŸ๐Ÿ™

27 Nov 2025 Teletrac Navman 9

A cloudy morning with showers didn't deter 9 volunteers from doing their bit to help clean New Beach in Port Melbourne this morning!  A total of 1173 pieces of litter were removed in an hour including 559 hard plastic fragments,194 soft plastic fragments, 47 microplastics, 23 nurdles and 63 bottle tops.

Getting all of these items off the beach helps to keep our wildlife safer as many of these items can be mistaken for food by our seabirds and marine life.

Big THANKS again to the team from Teletrac Navman!
