Community Environment and Wellbeing
Community Environment and Wellbeing
Docklands is unique. It stands directly between Melbourne CBD and the main harbour leading to Port Phillip Bay; a marine area that is also one of a kind.
For much of the litter that originates in the CBD space Docklands is the final chance for it to be caught before it hits the water. With more people permanently calling Docklands home, we want the community to feel empowered in keeping our streets clean and enjoyable for all.
If you are on this page, you are already aware of the environment and the need for action. Come join LOS 3008 on one of our monthly volunteer clean ups and feel empowered about making a real, local difference!
We combine a one hour litter collection, sorting and auditing for data, followed by a community catch up at a local café. Everyone is made welcome including families (under 15s accompanied by an adult) and local businesses or corporate groups. It’s a fun way to connect and be part of positive change. See our facebook page for more details.
