| Partial Audit | 418 | Tennyson St shops and surrounds, JGS🐧 | Ahead of the worst of the heat, eleven volunteers removed 12 kg of rubbish from the Elwood environment. This represents hundreds of pieces of plastic and other rubbish: it's safely binned now or heading for recycling. Elwood locals can enjoy a cleaner neighbourhood; our birds, insects, aquatic and marine life are safer. 💚🙂🦆💙🐬💙🐧🙏💚 Key data: 34 drink bottles and cans, 66 plastic and metal bottle tops, 38 coffee cups and lids, 15 other cups and lids, 8 plastic straws, 14 sauce sachets and fish, 12 lollipop sticks, 233 cigarette butts, lots of confectionery wrappers and packs, wipes. We also collected 3 vape canisters, shards of broken tail lights and a nearly full pressure-pack can of whipped cream. Thank you to our terrific, dedicated volunteers, including three newbies.
