LOS 3188 Hampton

Love Our Street 3188 Hampton.

LOS Hampton 3188 gathers together with like minded people, for an hour once a month to clean up litter in our neighbourhood with cuppa and morning tea afterwards. This will prevent litter entering our oceans and protect our marine life.

Meeting on the forth Saturday of the month at 9am-10am. Locations will vary, to be advised. Follow/ like us on Facebook

LOS3188- Causal Clean January 2020 by 3188@loveourstreet.com.au
A huge shout out to the 4 Volunteers who have performed multiple different causal cleans around Hampton and keeping our streets and surrounding parklands as clean as possible during January including:
South Road and Nepean Highway with 54.7kg worth of rubbish, 203 recyclables and 24 bags total.
South Road to Bluff Road with 5kgs worth of rubbish including 9 recycles, 2 bags.
Thomas Street Netball courts with 12.65kgs including 4 recyclables, 3 bags.
Simpson Reserve with 3.2kgs including 19 recyclables, 2 bags. Hampton Railway with 3kgs worth of rubbish including 6 recyclables, 2 bags.
Fewster Road with 4kgs worth of rubbish including 4 recyclables, 2 bags

Odd items collected not included in the weights:
1.5kg weight, foam, wood, car radio, car lock bar, football, carpet, car jack, chair, golf ball, bike lock, large lock, cricket ball, 10x sheets of ply.
LOS 3188 Hampton- November 2019 Clean by 3188@loveourstreet.com.au
Hampton Street was our destination for our November clean. It was a nice sunny Sunday morning. 20.8kgs of rubbish collected: 124 recyclables, 158 Cigarette butts, and no syringes. Thanks to the 3 volunteers who were able to come along to help keep our streets clean for our wildlife and prevent the litter from entering our drains.

Two volunteers's casually collected rubbish in four separate locations around Hampton including: Castlefield park with 2.9kgs of rubbish collected including 4 recyclables and dumped rubbish which was reported to the Local Council, Simpson Reserve Park with 4.5kgs of rubbish collected including 7 recyclables, Rolfes Dairy Park with 1.7kgs of rubbish collected including 5 recyclables and 1 garbage bag of e-waste reported to the Local Council. Last was Bluff Road Coles Council owned Carpark 13kgs of rubbish collects including 26 recyclable.All prevented from entering our drains, the canal and the sea.
