LOS 3207 Port Melbourne

Love Our Street 3207 Port Melbourne

Our volunteers help look after our local neighbourhood streets of Port and South Melbourne to stop litter getting to the bay. LOS3207 conducts a clean along some of the area’s streets every month.

The distinctive LOS tee shirts of the volunteers make for a colourful addition to the streets during their cleans.

Corporate groups are welcome contact us for a volunteer activity whereby LOS3207 will supply the team leaders and necessary equipment to conduct a clean and subsequent litter audit.

3207LOS Cleans up around Cruise Ship Terminal by information@beachpatrol.com.au

32 bags of rubbish including 7 bags of bottles.    216 drink bottles and cans.   75 coffee cups, or their lids or other drink cups  came from just 3 of the bags alone.   We unloaded and sorted it in front of a cruise ship crowd so many of them were staring at the pile of rubbish. Not a good look for Port Melbourne.

LOS 3207 In Port Melbourne in January by information@beachpatrol.com.au

Our first clean of 2019.   15 volunteers came out to clean the streets and parks around the Graham st tram. underpass.
12 bags of rubbish and 152 bottles and cans were removed.

LOS 3207 Casual street cleans over 9 months by information@beachpatrol.com.au

Just walking around Port Melbourne doing our normal living activities but picking up bottles and cans as we see them on the street.

Total that were littering the streets on our casual walks = 2063 recyclables.  Or an average per month of 280 littered bottles on just the few streets we walk along every month.  Disgraceful.  Imagine what the city is like at large!

That would be $206 with a CDS.   We have homeless people in Port Melb, that would provide food for several days.
