3207 Beach Patrol

Helping to look after the Precious inner-city Port Melbourne beaches, 3207BeachPatrol conducts a clean along one of its 5 stretches of beach every month.

The bright blue tee shirts of the volunteers make for a colourful addition to the beaches once a month on Saturday mornings.   See BeachPatrol 3207 in action to save the local community here!

3207BP cleans in the Wind by admin

3207BP was also out today cleaning up the Port Melbourne Dog allowable beach.  We too saw a lot of dead mutton birds washed up on the beach.  Very sad.

We had about 20 volunteers braving the chill and wind.  The council beach sweeper had removed most of the rubbish recently so we were left picking up lots of little plastic bits.

Though one mouse trap and another two syringes were recovered.

Our mascot Lucy the poodle was keen to get involved.

We were also joined by Helen and Victor who are starting up a 3184 Beachpatrol in Elwood.  Good luck to them down the coast there.

3207Beachpatrol Cleans up in Port Melbourne by admin

Thanks to all for the beach clean last Saturday.  We had approx. 15 people turn out to clean up the Sandridge and First point Beaches.  See attached picture.
Happy to report we found relatively clean beaches.  With the upcoming summer months it will probably be a different story however.

3207 BeachPatrol for September by information@beachpatrol.com.au
We smashed it.  Our biggest turnout ever.  Over 70 people.  Not much plastic rubbish was obvious on the beach but after 1 hour 30 bags of rubbish were collected.  So much we had to take it to take in to the local refuse center to dispose of.
