3016 Beachpatrol Williamstown Beaches

3016 Beach Patrol - Williamstown

The historic old colonial area of Williamstown exudes charm.  3016Beachpatrol based in Williamstown is there to help their beaches out.  Positioned on the corner of the Port Phillip Bay and the mouth of the Yarra river, Williamstown gets more than its fare share of careless littering.

We meet once a month for one hour to clean up one of our beaches.  We are often joined by other groups with the same goals.

Follow us on our Facebook page as well to get the latest updates.

3016 August Clean Up - Wader Beach by 3016@beachpatrol.com.au

written by Scabduty....

Thanks everyone that came out to another great team up Winter clean up at Jawbone Marine Sanctuaries, Wader beach.
We had a total of 90 legendary volunteers that picked up over 30bags worth of the usual suspects: straws, #bottlecaps#plasticbags #Nurdles #bottles...the same old story really. Lots of small buried fragments in the washed up sea grasses. We had a big clean up here in March 2016, were 130 volunteers cleaned up over 1tonne in 1 hour. Less than 5 months later we are back with close too just as much rubbish!

3016 July Clean Up by 3016@beachpatrol.com.au

It was a cold and blustery morning in Williamstown but that didn't phase 10 amazing volunteers who braved the very chilly conditions for our monthly beach cleanup! 8 bags of rubbish, plenty of recyclables and more than 150 cigarette butts made up today's collection. We think that's a pretty awesome effort!

3016 June Cleanup by 3016@beachpatrol.com.au

We had a big weekend with trivia on Friday night and clean up in Saturday with traveling trivia man Anthony from Plastic Pollution Solutions joining us on his first Beach Patrol cleanup. I'll post our full count soon. Thanks for coming along!

3016 Jan Clean up 2020 by 3016@beachpatrol.com.au
In 60 minutes 16 volunteers picked up 12.2kgs of rubbish. We found that there were few recyclables this month - lots of chip and lolly wrappers, random bits of clothing and shoes, cigarette butts, fishing gear and too many straws
