It was good to be able to hand out a few more 3199 Frankston Beach Patrol T-Shirts thanks to Frankston City Council who funded them on Saturday.
The weather was kind to us although the wind had a bit of chill to it at times. Nonetheless, 16 people joined in removing another 14Kgs of litter from a 1Km stretch of beach. After that, a small group gathered at The Dharma Hub on Nepean Highway for refreshments.
Nurdles were the biggest problem once again here. No matter where you look, they are everywhere. It's the highest concentration I know of along the areas we cover.
Next were cigarette butts. Again, another big problem everywhere.
Lastly, microplastics. Often hard to see, I managed to find some and compare them next to some nurdles as seen in the image.
A big thank you to all who made it and I'm sure you'll agree with me, it was another fun and rewarding day.
Don't forget, March 6, we have our big clean up for Clean Up Australia Day. If you haven't registered for the event, please do so by clicking here. All the details are there.
