47 volunteers enthusiastically participated in 3030 BeachPatrol's 2nd birthday clean on the Werribee River near the Werribee Town centre today (Sunday July 9th)  The massive haul of rubbish (est.600kg) was so large that a second council truck was called to collect it. Items collected included 7 very rusty shopping trolleys, 1 bike , 750 cigarette butts,

110 Plastic Bottles,155 Glass Bottles & 153 Drink Cans. Despite the deplorable amount of litter in our environment our State Government still amazingly claims that we are the cleanest state & won't commit to a container deposit scheme or a plastic bag ban.  All of this rubbish was collected not far from the office of Tim Pallas MP our local Member & State Treasurer

After the clean we all celebrated our birthday with a BBQ generously provided by the Australia India Foundation.
