Aspendale Beach Patrol started the new decade in force, with more than 35 volunteers.
Our regulars were joined by some new faces, along with a large group from the Parkdale Youth Foundation.
It was pleasing to note that the beach was quite clean, although we still managed to remove 19kg of rubbish, including 28 bottles and cans.
The most common item found was cigarettte butts, and the more unusual items included marine-grade rope and at least four golf balls!
We hope to see eveyone back soon.
