After quite a break over the holiday period we returned to our usual spot for our Twelfth clean of the beach. This time out we had a total of 18 volunteers, and thank you very much to those 18. We split off and cleaned approximately 250m of the beach either side of Truemans Road on a glorious day.
Overall we collected approximately 72kgs of rubbish and most notably we found two syringes which we have not seen in the area for a while now. We didn't manage to collect any nurdles this time but we did collect over 60 containers which means all the more reason for a container deposit scheme.
All in all it was a good clean as this are was utilised heavily over the summer break and with the help of regular and some fresh faces, we were able to limit the pollution in the area.
Good job team!
