It was great to have such a large group of volunteers and lots of new members at our clean today. This was our final clean for 2018 and the smallest by quantity of waste collected.  Because of the restricted access to this area there is not a lot of rubbish but we still managed to .remove 85 bottles & cans, 50kg of general rubbish,35 pieces of rope from shell fish industry, 70 kg metal, tin & wood, 100 metres irrigation piping, clothes and shoes. It was also great to have Heidi Taylor & Brett Tait from Tangaroa Blue join us. They inspired us to join with them to dig out t traffic barrier  After lots of digging we winched it out with their 4wd.  The sight of this barrier on the beach has bothered us for 3 years!!!!!!!!!!  Thanks also to The Australian India Foundation for another great BBQ & also to Parks Vic for their support today
