The sun gods were on our side once again as 43 wonderful people joined us for our August beach clean up. Of the 43 people, 10 were from Coles Services, the team responsible for the cleanliness and trolleys at Coles Supermarkets.

Together, we collected just over 71Kgs of litter. This was mostly made up of plastic litter including straws, coffee cup lids, chip packets and even a 10Kg piece of Poly water pipe which had evidence of propeller damage suggesting it’s been out in the bay and hit by a number of marine craft potentially putting those on board’s lives at risk. So as you can see, it’s not just marine wildlife who’s lives we are possibly saving but also that of our fellow man!
